Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus calls the faithful to contemplate the depth of Christ's love, made visible through His Passion, death, and Resurrection. The devotion developed over centuries of Christian spirituality and received particular prominence through St. Margaret Mary Alacoque in seventeenth-century France.

The Sacred Heart is traditionally shown aflame, encircled by thorns, and bearing the Cross. Each element expresses an aspect of Christ's sacrificial love: the flames represent divine charity, the thorns His suffering, and the Cross His gift of salvation.

Red Creek Jasper is a commercial gemstone name associated with richly patterned ornamental stone featuring warm red, mustard gold, sage green, cream, and earthy brown.
